Black girls are a gift from God that needs
Sadly, there are a myriad of Black Girls that do not see the beauty they have within. A research study conducted at Georgetown Law University titled The Erasure of Black Girls’ Childhood, found Black Girls experience adultification and are viewed as needing less nurturing and protection compared to others. In recent other studies, it highlights that Black girls are dying by suicide at higher rates compared other races of girls.
A Black Girl in her Feelings LLC, is driven by the stories and lived experiences of Black Girls. We believe in curating spaces of nurturing and healing for our Black Girls. It is our mission to support the healing process and mental/emotional well being of Black girls. We do this by providing free workshops and programming for Black girls that is centered on self esteem, confidence, mental health, and self development.
Our long term goal is to develop a therapeutic counseling practice and in school and afterschool program for our Black girls and women.
So when you purchase from our store, a portion of the proceeds are allocated in sewing hope, prosperity, and love into the lives of Black Girls and helping us reach our long term goal.
